How Will You Measure Success in 2010?

WARNING: This is not about going viral in twitter, facebook or the hottest new app. It is not about going viral for the sake of it- aka huge masses and low conversion rates. Nope.

Ripple100 micromarketing is about the numbers that will allow you to call 2010 a success. What is your magic number? Is it customers, sales, leads, inquiries, referrals? Votes, volunteers, donors, grants? Most of us don’t need 2 million hits to be successful at what we do- maybe only a handful, a few dozen, hundred or thousand. A few million is the exception, for a rare few. So be honest.

Whatever your number is, Ripple100 micromarketing will get you there. In 2010, we will get you there. With focused and frequent campaigns that you can therefore keep short and real, and do all by yourself, as often and anytime you want. Here’s how:

  1. What is your goal for this campaign? What roadblock are you knocking down? Before even taking a stab at what your campaign is, decide what you want it to do for you. Are you looking for your next hire? Seeking out volunteers? Looking for donations? Dollar amounts? Sales? A new supplier of x?
  2. What response do you need to achieve your goal? Keep the end result in mind- specific to you and your problems. Once you decide on your campaign goal, you can size up the type and quantity of response you want. Basically: what numbers do you need to get the impact you want? You may shoot for 50 strong leads or 5 new clients, or 500 volunteers- what is your magic number?
  3. What is your call to action? In other words, what are you actually asking people to do that will get you the response you’re after? To get the response you want, people have to know what it is and be able to act on it. For example if the response I want is to hire 3 new people, my call to action may be to submit your resume, call the office, inquire on our website or all three.

So, in 2010 start micromarketing. It doesn’t matter what kind of business, politics, or nonprofit you have. This is stuff you can do yourself, now, at your next click. Here are 3 ways:

This is an interesting concept – the SEO folks talk alot about very focused landing pages, with really clear “offers”. It seems that micromarketing tools really take that idea to a different level…
