Founders

Andre Yap, Founder + CEO. Amy and I started Ripple100 at CUBED, a CT startup hub/accelerator I founded to find entrepreneurs and launch ventures as a way of life.

Ripple100 began as pure web app for DIY marketing campaigns. Like blogs, except instead of a single open field where you can write anything for better or worse, Ripple100 gives you 21 guided fields. 21 Q&A’s on key marketing variables like target audience, value proposition, calls to action, SEO, and video to tie it all together and bring campaigns to life. Like a blog, you can post as many campaigns as you want when you want. Unlike blogs, each field comes with tips and character limits. End result: marketing campaigns that are real; short and to the point; easy to get, share, and act on; fresh, ubiquitous, like good friends you see often, revealing more each time. We used to call it micromarketing, but it seems that far beyond the agile bite-size campaigns, what we’re really enabling is the art and science of serial storytelling as marketing.

So soon after our software launch, we started a service arm. Ripple100 also works like an ad or PR agency, but we don’t do ads or PR. We turn massive marketing campaigns into serial stories. That’s how we got to Ripple100 Storytelling Apps | Agency.

You may want to know… my day to day via Twitter. Serial entreprises, schools, stuff like that via LinkedIn. Ongoing initiatives I care about via Social Web Week CT, PodcampCT, Ripplecast 2010, The Left to Right Movement, GoogleHaven, [there's always something next]…

I love Renee, our boys, family, living in New Haven, walking in East Rock, golf, the finer things and thoughts, entrepreneurs (people who get it done, don’t bs, never give up), the ideal of going back to Manila, where I was born and bred and where I hope to make my most lasting contributions. I try to answer God’s call every day. When I fail remind me.

Email andre [at] ripple100 [dot] com, tell me what’s on your mind. Cut the bs, not trees.

Last but not least, meet my co-founder Amy Desmarais.
